Individual Benefits Coaching

Is a new discipline that has grown out of individual's needs to participate in, understand and be self-determining with respect to their income and healthcare benefits choices.

Public and private benefits programs for people with disabilities are most often misunderstood and under-utilized, thereby creating inequality in access to income sources and healthcare coverage. Many service providers are unaware and/or have limited knowledge of the full range of benefit programs available and consequently are ill-equipped to fully serve their client's needs.

Even where some knowledge exists, most people still do not have the understanding and knowledge that allows them to integrate public and private benefits into a package that best suits each individual's needs.

Training for health and income benefits counselors is neither included in degree programs nor made available for other human service professionals, forcing them all to learn through trial and error; often at the expense of their clients.

Unlike publicly funded benefits counseling programs, the Benefits Education Center's (BEC) Individual Benefits Coaching affords individual clients personalized, continually updated and comprehensive information that is geared to their unique and particular needs.

Individual Benefits Coaching

1. Establishes where an individual is at in the confusing world of benefit options:

2. Helps them identify what their individual goals are based on their needs

3. Helps them create a plan of action to achieve these goals

4. And finally builds an appropriate "action plan" with timelines based on their previously established goals.

The beauty of BEC's Individual Benefits Coaching is Daniel Fortuņo's full understanding of both public and private income and health coverage benefits that exist in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas and all the differences and intricacies involved in each state.

Understanding the nuisances of federal, state and private benefit programs, Daniel has built a strong network of professionals in all areas of disability based benefits and access to health coverage to assure the best possible results in these unique situations.

Individual Benefits Coaching is not for everyone and should be entered into with a full understanding of the costs, time, personal and professional commitment involved. If this is something you feel may help your situation, please feel free to email BEC with your situation and questions at info@benefitseducationcenter.com
